What is an acid brush may I ask. Never heard that term.

An acid brush is about 1/2" wide and has a metal tube, about 6" long, for a handle. Like these.

The woodworking vendors sell them for around 25 cents apiece. HF frequently puts this 36pc bag on sale for $2.99 ... about 8 cents each.

Yeah, I use acid flux brushes, credit cards (old ones!), and a rubber paddle to spread glue. What I'm looking for is a glue roller for large surfaces.

You can buy them on ebay also. The last bunch I bought there $8 for 144 of them and the price included shipping. That was about a year ago though.

i like using the plastic tips left from old 'sponge' paint brushes after the sponge has fallen off or is no longer useful. That leaves a nice wooden handle with a 'just right' flexible piece of plastic about 1/2-3/4" wide. i never throw these brushes out, i just rip the remaining sponge off them and it leaves a great glue spreader - it last a very long time, doesn't need to be washed and works great! If glue dries on the plastic, just bend it a bit, it cracks and peels off.

i also have acid brushes, but i find the sponge brush inserts work much better.

i got the elcheapo kit from woodcraft. I hate it. The one norm has listed on his site costs way more but might work. I will stick with brushes for now.

I use a regular paint brush. Pour the glue on, "paint" the wood, and I have a well glued joint

Actually used mine tonight. I had 5 three board panels to glue up. The roler is the fastest way to get an even, thin layer of glue on the edges. Cleaning the roller took about 3 minutes with hot water and a paper towel.
