Dumb question: Say I set the saw up with a router. But then I want to cut more wood. Do I have to take the router back off before I can use the saw again? My guess is, uh, yes.
Do I take the router off to saw?

It's very easy to remove with the 4 screws and only takes a minute. You won't loose your router settings either.Monte (another darksider)

My router has been out of the table once since I mounted it. I just remove the bit and make sure the collet is below the table.Larry R. Rogers

I'm with the others, just drop the bit below table height.Comment

Mine rarely comes off unless I need to move the rails to the left for a cut. Then I remove the acc table with the router in it.
I leave the smallest insert plate installed to help keep sawdust out of the router collet and make sure I blow it out good before installing a bit.Don, aka Pappy,

Another suggestion, gleaned elsewhere: if you want to remove the bit but keep your same bit height setting, put a rubber O-ring at the bottom of the collet. If you make a point of always snugging the inserted bit down to the O-ring, you can remove the bit and replace it at the same elevation above the table.- David
