We're only in this new house temporarily until we leave again so we didn't want to buy all new furniture we would have to ship or store. However, we still need some furniture and I missed having nightstands.
The seller left behind some stuff including parts of an IKEA wardrobe and unfinished T&G oak flooring. She even left behind a spray can of polyurethane.
Not my finest woodworking but I really like these recycling projects. Some of the details are fixed (like the width of the wardrobe doors that are now the nightstand sides) so you just roll with it. I used a Kreg Rip N Cut jig with my Ryobi cordless saw and Ryobi drill and driver.
