    Fun with Firewood Part IV

I should buy a pellet stove and be done with it. I'm forever repurposing firewood in to shop projects. By the time you get to firewood you're not making a china cabinet but everyone likes to sit down so stools are a common product.

Here a 3 legged stool from red oak. Pin oak as I came to find out when it was on the lathe. If you've ever worked some pin oak, you know the particular "agricultural aroma" it produces when it green..

For this stool I asked my 10 yr old son if he was interested in helping in the shop. He bored out the mortises for the legs. Some father son bonding stuff. Guess I'll hold off on the pellet stove idea for a while.

Looks great! While it looks simple and rugged, this is something that if it lasts 20-30 years, family will fight over who gets it!
