    Construction Vehicles

One grandson is going into the construction business -- but he doesn't know it yet but may find out later this Summer and also at Christmas.

Plans are from WOODPLANS Online. Wood is walnut, maple and birch. Finish is two coats of sealer, then light sanding to smooth and three coats of gloss lacquer. Project is not quite finished. I still have to build a "Construction-Grade" Excavator that will ride on the lowboy trailer.

    Thanks for looking.

    Steve

Very nicely done. Looks great. He'll love them. Don't forget to sign and date them.

Wow! That is really cool. That looks like it'll be fun.

How did you do the curved trailer bed?

I'll second Cman's suggestion to sign and date them. They're sure to become family keepsakes.

Those look awesome Steve. I love how the tires turned out, the detail is great!

Curved trailer bed is 4 inch pvc. Works really well.

I suspect its first load will be gum drops or jelly beans.

Gotta confess that the tires came in a kit. For shame?

              But I don't have a lathe.

No shame, the entire piece looks good!

Excellent, Steve. I've been itching to make the whole set, but I can't get ahead of other projects.

I will buy wheels and other trimmings, too. The least expensive source I've found is http://www.caseyswood.com/

Have fun playing with them and your grandson.

Kidding! Would not have taken so long except that I had some learning curve dealing with small parts. The kits and plans provide full size drawings of all the tricky and smaller the parts.

Steve, can yoube more specific about the source for the plans you got? I can't find a woodplans.com site that looks like it was the source for your plans.

Never mind, I found it at
