    Thank you all for the nice words ...

    @Mark -- they have arranged to purchase chairs that will match very well ... I told them I really didn't relish the idea of chair building ... the "window seat" along the wall under the windows provides seating for that side.

        Great work Bade! Your right, the pic does no justice to the final piece!! The lighting makes the top look so dark and monochromatic. The other pics show off the richness of the grain and color. Very well done

                Nicely executed and nice looking table. I may end up with something a bit rustic myself someday. I'd like a natural edge slab table but it wouldn't fit into this house. LOML and I are talking about building in a few years and our house idea would allow for a large slab table.

                My kids have small rectangular tables (seat 4 comfortable and can sqeeze 6) with 4 chairs I made for them. They are at least a lot nicer than what my late wife and I had starting out.
