    christmas for the twins

I did a couple toys for the twins this year. The one on the right isa rolling toy based off a catalogue. The second is a shape stacking toy. I did the colors by spraying acrylic. Did a few coats of shelac over everything.

nice - my grandson is 4+ months old and starting to show some initial hand-eye coordination now. IN a few months maybe the shape toy would be good. Looks like I'll have to make him some toys.

Looks great Shep! Is the wood pine?

Those are very nice. I would love to make some toys for our kids too.

The wood is Ash. I did some other presents, but haven't found the time to upload them.

Looks Great Shep. My wife wants to build something similar, and wants to know what you colored them with. She's got the whole child-safe thing going on. Thanks.

The paint is acrylic that I thinned and sprayed with a HVLP gun from HF. I then applied 3-4 coats of spray shelac.

Those are really nice projects! Especially with the colours that you have used. I could have used your idea for couple of presents. Too late for this year but maybe next year.
