    Wedding Gifts for Grand daughter

Our Grand daughter is getting married on Feb 26. I just got these finished. They are Oak with black walnut star inlays. It was my first attempt at inlays. First it was the floor Quilt rack, then DW wanted a cutting board, then a wall quilt rack and then the magazine rack/chair table ( I haven't figured out what to call them). I thought I better get them done before she wants something else!

Nice work all around! I have a set of drawings I did for a table similar to the magazine rack table. Never got around to building them.

With all that Lone Star motif, is your Granddaughter a Texan perchance?

        Very nice work BTW...

I also am wondering if there is a Lone Star connection. Good looking stuff. Bet she loves it.

No Lone Star connection. She just likes the star for some reason. I was going to just cut out a star but decided it was time to learn how to do inlays. The first few on scrap wood didn't look as good!! THe best part is I have a new tool.. a router inlay kit. My moto if the DW asks for a project make sure you need a new tool!

Isn't that why we do projects??? To get more tools.

                Nice work Lee!
