    Cat Tree

My brother Salty sent me an e-mail about the tree he made for his cat Lucky. I think he just has not had time to post a picture. He said he didn't think the cat appreciated the effort, But as you can see the he really does.

Very cool. I used to build them on a regular basis for my cat Marty. He went through them often. Better I built more "trees" than replace my funiture.

Although his teeth are very similar to the ones on the Langoliers, he is not smiling.
He/it never smiles and is always in a rotten mood.
        D@#m cat!

Oh, and just for the record....it is not my cat. We just tolerate each other.
Why doesn't the word 'planing' show up in my computer spell check?

That is pretty cool looking. I think I'd have to make one that laid across the bed to get our Tigger to use it.

Yup, you only think you own a cat! It owns you.

Nice cat trees. A neighbor builds them and the local Humane Society sells them for $250.00 each. His are a bit big and bulky, I like the looks of yours and how it fits in a corner.

            Bill.

Our daughter had a sign at her house with a picture of her cat that read "Hershey and his staff live here"

When you call a dog, he/she happily comes. When you call a cat, he/she says, " My people will get back to you".

Very nice tree. A cardboard box left on the floor a day or so is welcomed by my wife's female cat. I don't want to spoil her with an apartment complex just for her.

I recently completed one as well, Kitty moved in immediately, and I mean moved in. She drags her cat toys up the thing and bats them around on the top tier...

If you haven't done a kitty condo yet, DON'T unless you like working with carpet. Making the corners was the hardest part....

I'm gonna have to clean it up now and post some pics, if I can ever get enough cat toys off of it...

Because it has one fastener into the wall at the base of the top box. I wasn't going to do that but then the darn cat took a long leap from a window shelf to the top and it moved so much that I had to fasten it to the wall. It also has 2 legs at the bottom but that didn't help much. It will stand there on it's own if there is no jumping of animals.

On the ones I've built, I used a largish rectangle of 3/4" plywood as the base. On occasion I've had to put a brick on it to hold it steady.
