    Pantry shelves in a motorhome

Last fall I took measurements for those pesky pantry shelves that are about 14 inches square on the face and 24 inches deep. They were useless in getting anything in and out past the half way point. If you wanted to get something in the back you need to take everything in front out.. So My solution was to make drawers with full drawer extensions. The one at eye level has a spice rack on the front. another I divided in two for short cans and goods. When I brought the unit home from storage I got busy installing them.

The door closes and holds all in place while going down the road.

PS. The Level is useless when installing in a MH sitting on an angle!!

Is that some kind if bead board I also see?
Why doesn't the word 'planing' show up in my computer spell check?

      Oak and scraps

I had some pieces of bead board I used for the sides and added the oak fronts. mostly scraps I had here. The thin bead board was good in the fact that weight is a factor.

Looks nice and a clever solution using extension drawers. Hard to imagine they weren't used by the manufacturer. I suppose maybe folks don't notice those details when they are raring for a camper?

        Excellent job...

Nice fix. That will be a pleasure to use. That same problem exists in base kitchen cabinets that have full shelves instead of half shelves.

Very nice work! It's not just campers that have that problem. I need to do something similar in our kitchen. Love the spice rack idea.

We were loading the MH today and they do make a difference!
