    Production Run

I'm sure you remember when I made this coffee shelf. I have loads of comments from here and from those around home. Of course now everyone wants their own. So of I went down to the shop. I've been held up this week with back issues. Tonight I have been feeling the best I have all week and was able to finish these.

It's the same shelf design as what I did before but I made these ten inches narrower. All I needed to do was attatch the hanging hardware and that took enough out of me. Time to relax again

Nice work Richard! Is the finish paint on all of them or are you using dye?

Richard, I really like that. Looks like they could have multiple uses.

Thanks for the kind words guys. There are a few places where the wood isn't quite perfect but I tried to work with it rather than discard the board. It kind of adds to the look IMHO. As for the finish, in keeping with the idea of using reclaimed materials where possible, the finish is latex paint left over from various rooms in the house. The only new stuff used are the pegs and the hardware( screws and hangers).

When painting, I sanded the bare wood to 150. There are at two coats with the top coat sanded lightly to smooth it off and to cause "wear" around some of the edges.

Nice work Richard. Smaller size does not take away anything from the design. Glad you are felling a bit better.
