Not me on the Don't Pass line, JR. Too much like a commitment from the opening shot fired. Wait until the point is established and then bring two units through the Don't Pass Box and establish it on the next roll.

Not sure what you're reffering to, but in Vegas (not sure about Craps in other countries and states) you can't bet a "pass line" or a "don't pass line" after a point is established. Perhaps you mean the "don't come"?

I'm guessing that's what you mean by the way you say: "establish it on the next roll". That would be a come or don't come bet.

Thing I don't like about the don't(s) (come or pass) is that you have to lay the odds instead of getting paid the odds.....

But to each their own, if you want to play the "dark side" then be that way!

I my experience it is mandatory for don't players to sit at a quiet corner, near the deailer, smoke a cigar, drink whisky on the rocks. The only sounds are grunts groans until he just picks up an leaves. A despicable race.

Quite corner.. correct! The corner is near one end dealer.. the stick man commands center table.

Don't smoke cigars and don't drink with the exception of an occasional beer at home around the holidays.

And yes.. the Do players grunt and groan with a Don' Player on the table. Of course it is the fault of the Don't player when the shooter rolls seven out. It could have nothing to do with odds but oddly enough that Seven rears it's ugly head Very Often regardless of the fact if there is a Don't Player at the table. Grown men can be silly me thinks.

Grunt and groan all they want.. if a table is cold I'm parked and won't leave until it gets hot then Adios Amigo. Find another cold table or the nearest exit when the Di tell you to move on.

The difference in an amateur and a professional gambler is the fact the amateur doesn't know when to quit.... either ahead or behind. He's just there to gamble. A pro locks up a profit and hits the door. There's tomorrow!

You are corrent about the Don't Come Box. You cannot lay a bet down on the Pass or Don't Pass once the come-out roll had taken place. But.. you can go through the Don't Come Box on every roll if you wish. And you don't have to lay odds. If I put a dime in the Don't Come Box and the shooter rolls nine.. my dime moves to 9 as a don't number. The only thing that can knock it down is another 9. Seven is winner.

Once it is established I can lay odds on the dime if I wish. I would lay $15 to get a $10 pay-out which is the odds reversed as the seven can be made 6 ways and the sister numbers of 5-9 can only be made 4 ways. So.. you have to lay 3-2 if you decide to lay odds. I could just leave the dime up and get a dime in return with no odds money layed.

The casino will allow you (and wish you would) to take a Don't bet down at any time after is established. But.. you are married to a Do bet. Simply because your established Don't has the House booked at a dis-advantage. Again 6 ways to make the Seven...
