      Thanks to all of you for all your kind words. It's much appreciated.

      I will try to answer questions.

      The wash coat is the same thing as a seal coat. I used shellac because the stain gave me a lot of blotching just using wood conditioner on my test boards. 1/2 lb. cut of shellac took care of that problem. The stain doesn't penetrate the wood as well with the shellac seal on it. Therefore, it took several coats of stain to darken the wood.

      For those of you who want to learn more about shellac, just do a Google and you'll get much better information than I can give you here.

      The design of this TV stand was the result of looking at pictures in the net and using the measurements that would accommodate Tere's needs.
