    Shop Cabinets completed

I started this project in the winter and even posted a few in-progress photos, but it is finally complete. Of course, nothing is ever done. I still have to install the outlets, make some racks for the pegboard, and load all my stuff in the cabinets. I put a few things in them to give me an idea where each item should go and how high to adjust the shelves.

I built the cabinets based on an article in Shop Notes from about seven years ago. I customized a few things to make them best fit my needs.

I get to be the first (again) to compliment someone on their excellent work! It looks like you made separate 2x4 bases, leveled those, and then installed the cabinets on top of them?

    Looks GREAT!

Great work! You have a very nice space to work on your upcoming WW projects. Thank you for sharing!

        Kind regards,
        Chris

Done well Jeff and you will appreciate have that much space to stay organized. I can't tell but it looks as if that is a basement and partially under-ground from the height of the windows? Enjoy the space now as it has a way of dis-appearing with additional purchases.

Very nice work and evolving shop...

Looks great, Jeff. Something I've got to look forward to. After the cleanout, wiring, insulation, sheetrock...

Nice work Jeff! It looks like you made good use of the spaces between the floor joists to store a few clamps.

I can only hope a similar project I hope to start late in the summer of 2009 goes as well.

Thanks all! I look forward to organizing it and making some cool new projects.

It was a good project for my skill level. It looks good and works great as shop furniture, but I'm not quite ready to tear out my kitchen and build my own cabinets. Then again, I wouldn't be building them out of utility grade framing lumber

                    Someday I'll tackle the kitchen...

I'm reorganizing (yet again) to utilize my space more efficiently and to deal with the space thiefs Sarge mentioned in his post

real nice setup! lots of storage to stay organized. i like the fact that you used pine and plywood for the doors and frames, not too expensive. nicely done!

I'll have to check this again at home, I just get little red x's instead of pictures. I don't understand why some pictures make it through the filters and others don't.
