    Office Remodel

I found an article in Woodworkers Journal a couple of years ago on Wainscoting. I did the walls and built a custom bookcase to match. I used walnut and white oak plywood throughout. Everything was finished with at least two coats of brush on Deft lacquer. If my math is correct I did 468 miter cuts on the trim of the wainscoting. This is the first project I have posted so I hope the pictures show up. I wanted to post a few more pics, but my camera went dead.

That looks great, Bill! I have been thinking for a long time about doing wainscoting...and I will probably think a bit longer as it looks like a lot of work. I am impressed!

Beautiful wainscoting, not just the usual beadboard. Almost 500 miter cuts? Whew!

Whis I had an office like that...

Nice job Bill. After 500 cuts, bet you now have lots of arm strength.

Crap. I'm about to do wood flooring in my office. Now I have to go back to the drawing board.

                  Nice work. It looks great.

Thanks guys! It was about 1 1/2 years from start to finish, because I kept getting interruptions and had to stop. This is about the only good thing to come from me losing my job recently. I had time to finish it.

JR the floor was the first thing I did, so that is why I used white oak to match the floor. I just didn't know that the white oak ply was so hard to get or so expensive. Might want to plan better than I did. If I had used a different floor I could have gotten red oak for less than half the price. I sure like the white oak look though.
