      Thank you Gentlemen, and Pat (Popeye) your input about leaving the pieces apart
      is appreciated...and the head cabinet guy agrees with you.
      You mentioned the paneling...which is actually 1" thick tongue and groove cedar. We put it up in 1976 and left it natural. Even though we left it natural, it naturally darkened over the years, so we decided lighten it up...We were hesitant to paint it, keep saying to ourselves, "Imagine what this would cost today, what if we ruin it!?!"
      Then a three years ago we made a large bump out 10 foot window Box in the room, and we decided to sheet rock the inside of the window, and whitewash the cedar with water down light tan paint. It brightened the room a lot.
