Thanks Omar and Rslaugh... Actually with the price of gas and groceries recently RS.. scrap may get the call for a long while at my house.

But.. that's OK as I like to use local woods and scrap. I used to build a lot of tables.. desk and chest for women's and homeless shelter from scrap and donate them. I hate to see a piece of wood (regardless of percieved worth by someone that cast it off) go to waste.

Function doesn't seem to have a preference for any particular species is what I have experienced. Using a beautiful species does not automatically relate to a functional piece that is well made.

          Looks pretty outstanding to me.
I like the finish and the color of the dresser.

Thank you very much, Miss Joann. My wife dictates the color.. I'm just the handy man that gets to do the work. But.. I knew that before I made a committment.

Well, Sarge, I thnk you made a good committment. Wives always have good ideas, and we're always right too, even when we're wrong we're right.

Thanks Brian.. kinda wish I had waited to shoot it after it went in the bedroom as the light is softer there and does my struggling finishes more clarity as to what they really look like.

I remember once when she was correct... little Miss University of Pittsburg cheer-leader visited her sister who lived next to my house. She saw me out in the yard... knocked on the door that evening with a cup in her hand.

I opened the door and heard... "Can I borrow a cup of sugar, we're making a cake and we ran out". Yeah right.. haven't heard that line since the 50's! I asker her in and I suppose the "cake" wasn't too important from the fact she never left.

Southern charm at it's finest... move over Rhett Butler and "frankly Scarlett.. I don't give a ......

                    You get the picture...

Thank you, Bob.. Don't worry about missing anything as I stay extremely busy and miss a lot. Finished that last week and purchased stock Friday to make a new work-bench top. Ripped.. jointed.. glued and resized the twin screw and front vise over the week-end. Added a coat of danish yesterday and am rolling on a matching tall chest today.

So.. missing something can mean you just don't have all the time in the world to look.

                        Regards...
