    Weapons Rack finally set up....

A while back I posted a weapons rack that I built from Cherry with a Wenge inlay. I have finally gotten to put it on the wall, and hang some steel from it.

    top to bottom:

    Shinai
    Bokken
    Wakazashi
    Katana (she's a cutter, not a decoration)
Tachi (D2 tool steel, actually, odd design, but nice)

          Looks very sharp, Keith.

A great storage idea, too, for those long lathe tools.

Nice, Keith, both the rack and the instruments!

              Hey Keith,

Looks nifty as h**l, but where's the 12 ga. pump.

Beautiful work! LOML is a chef and cookbook writer and she's eyeing the katana!

Just saw this posted on a travel forum that we frequent:

Once upon a time a powerful Emperor of the Rising Sun advertised for a new Chief Samurai Warrior. After a year, only three applied for the job: a Japanese, a Chinese and a Jewish Samurai.

"Demonstrate your skills!" commanded the Emperor.

The Japanese samurai stepped forward, opened a tiny box and released a fly. He drew his samurai sword and * Swish! * the fly fell to the floor, neatly divided in two!

"What a skillful feat!" said the Emperor. "Number Two Samurai, show me what you can do."

The Chinese samurai smiled confidently, stepped forward and opened a tiny box, releasing a fly. He drew his samurai sword and *Swish!* *Swish! * The fly fell to the floor neatly quartered!

"Ah-h-h, that is skill!" nodded the Emperor. "How are you going to top that, Number three Samurai?"

Number Three Samurai stepped forward, opened a tiny box releasing a fly, drew his samurai sword and *Swoooooosh!* flourished his sword so mightily that a gust of wind blew through the room and the fly let out a high pitched sound. But the fly was still alive and buzzing around!

In disappointment, the Emperor said, "What kind of skill is that? The fly isn't even dead."

"Dead, schmead," replied the Jewish Samurai. "Dead is easy. Now, circumcision .....THAT takes skill!"
You might think I haven't contributed much to the world, but a large number
of the warning labels on tools can be traced back to things I've done...

That looks great. My 6 year old son would especially love to have your collection. As it is, he does enough damage with his wooden swords.
