    Christmas present for future DiL

    Made from Padauk. I decided not to seal the grain so the texture of the wood would still come through. I have mixed feeling about that decision. I sure hope she likes it.

      That picture is terrible, makes it look all orange peeled. It looks a lot better in real life. I need to work on my photo skills...

        a bit softer light, diffused instead of a direct flash will help a lot.
        If you can bounce the flash off the ceiling or use a tent or an umbrella bounce flash.
        Or turn off the flash and use room light (maybe with a tripod)

            Nice work, what style are you calling it? Art deco maybe? Very interesting, I am sure she will like it.
