    My "other shop"

LOML and I have been planning a little re-do of our computer room. Today, we moved everything around and I was able to make my "hobby corner" a bit nicer. Fairly simple job, just hanging some shelving, but it really made a big difference! I now have a nice place to work on and store my helos. It also acts as my drafting station, as you might notice in the photo (currently designing the doll bed for the black limba I got last week). I still need to do a bit of touch up and organizing, but that's a project for another day!

It's great to have a place for the other hobbies! Nicely done!

That is a hobby I'd love to take up, but the LOML is only allowing me one hobby at a time

There's a nice RC airfield pretty near my house in George Bush park and I've been wanting to take an afternoon to watch the pilots, but I know the bug will bite me if I go anywhere near there!

Gos, it's definetly addictive! We usually have a few non-fliers show up at the club field every weekend to watch. Many ask questions and a few show up again with a plane and begin flight instruction.

Loring, the hanger only looks full! The top of the freezer is empty again and is the perfect spot for the big gasser I want to get. Sneaking something that big into the house is the real problem!

Hank, you got your helo flying yet???

Thanks for the kind words Mike.

Well you could take a page from Radar's book and bring it in a piece at a time. A rotor here, a skid there...

I like it. Closest I ever got to R/C was a model rocket that went up and glided and you could control it. Well it was supposed to glide. I got it mostly right but found out later it wasn't very well designed.

Funny you should mention Radar, we were talking about mailing that jeep home this morning!
I did manage to bring one in under the radar once. It belonged to a co-worker and was about the same size as the yellow & white Freya sitting on the top shelf. It sat in the closet (my side) for three days before it was "noticed". When I was able to stop running and explain, all was right with the world.

Not yet. I ordered the speed controller because that seemed fried, but after replacing it with a new one, I found that was not the problem. That left something in in the receiver (the motor works). I found a replacement receiver but have not ordered it yet.

Too busy with work and pens at the moment. Hopefully after Christmas I can get started back. It has been a pain!
