A double set of band clamps works for this type glue up. Check it with a square or drafting triangle as soon as the clamps are snug and add slight pressure corner to corner if you aren't dead on. Tighten the band clamps, keeping check on the square.

In this case, you are obviously close enough to achieve the functionality you were after. Nice looking cabinet, even in Dusty Rose!

Nice functional project, and nice assembly jig there Larry.

I like "Dusty Rose", though it sounds a bit like an adult film star name...ok, not going there any further.

Another quick type of jig is to get 5 X 7 or 6 X 8 or similar pieces of mdf, 3/4 inch (4 pieces, one for each corner). Cut dadoes to width and 3/8" or so deep at 90* angles. Then just butt the ends/sides together. The dadoes will hold them. You can also dado a long piece for the center to help hold/support a longer piece of wood. Once they are set in these, clamp them tight. I made a set of these to build some speakers. Works pretty good. The idea came out of one of my shop magazines, possibly, Shopnotes.

You know, if you're thinking about building nice furniture for the house (your shop one looks good, no matter the color-personal taste, though), you might just spring the money for a good, accurate square clamp?

                Good luck, Frank
