      Thanks guys, as to why the rejection, there are some imperfections that arn't apparent in a 512x384 photo. They are actually just fine for the table's application, but my desk is something I use 12 hours a day.

      BW, I actually didn't fill the pores, I wanted a bit of a starker contrast in the grain than I get when pore filling. There are an obscene number of coats of arm-r-seal on the desk top, pre-rub out. I had a desk workable, so I had all of the time in the world to kill in finishing the new top.

      Ken, nope, I entirely cheated. I found 2 turned legs on super close out at the local rockler last november. The other 2 are 4 way tapered legs, which will be up against a wall, so hardly noticable.
