    Hunt table and new desktop...

About 5 months ago, I build a new desktop for my desk, as I wasn't entirely pleased with the 1st one. I had many other things on my plate, and finally got to do the rub out on it.... Here's a pic.

I didn't want to simply throw away the old one, and a friend of mine wanted a table for her kitchen that wouldn't be intrusive, but act as a sort of breakfast bar. So I built this hunt table using the old desktop.

The desktop finish is red oak stain and arm-r-seal, rubbed out to rotten stone. The table is also red oak stain with wipe on poly. the wood is northern red oak.

I don't know what you weren't pleased with on the original top, but they both look great to me.

Beautiful pieces, Keith. The finish is excellent.
Did you turn the legs for the Hunt table?

Look great Keith. Great idea to savage the desk top. Even better job matching the table apron and legs to the existing top.
