    Quilt Rack for my wife

This is a quilt rack that I made for my wife for Christmas. It's made from plans in the pockethole project book( I did increase it to 36" high instead of 32" ) and is made from walnut and the pocket hole plugs and the inlays are maple. The finish is 3 coats of wipe on polly. This is the first time I had tried the router inlay kit but it was not too difficult and I'm sure I'll be using it again.

    Thanks for looking,

Beautiful work. I am hoping that soon that we can get some lumber to make one for the quilt my MIL gave us.

That is a great looking piece. Reminds me a lot of the one my dad made years ago out of oak. It's still around and I'm sure yours will be too!

Nice job, Don! The contrast between the inlay and surrounding wood looks really nice.

                        Very nice Don!

If you lost all that crimson red in the house and maybe wore a burnt orange shirt it would even look better.

                        Kidding, excellent job!
