    Bookcase finished at last!

Here is a project I finally got around to finishing for my wifes birthday. She was wanting that niche finished for a long time. I did all of the ripping of the ply sheets with a ryobi radial arm saw that I was unaware of being recalled. Good thing I didn't remove any important parts! The miters were cut with a Makita SCMS.

After finding out that my radial arm saw was recalled, I knew I was going to need something else to continue my hobby. I was able to find a BT3100 NIB.

After seeing some of the other finished projects here I am a little apprehensive about showing this one.

    Rick,

    Go to "Edit Reply"
    Go advanced
    Then "Manage Attachments"
Click "Browse" to find your picture
    Then "Upload"
Then scroll down in the upload window to "close"
    Then "save"

Anxious to see the finished product. Keep in mind, the attachment will not load if it's over the allowable file siza limit (jpg's are about 97kb i think)

    Good luck,
    Greg

I can't imagine what your apprehensive about, Rick? Well done.. now go do something else and don't take so long to finish it as you'll never hear the end of it till you do. Is "she" says paint it blue.. paint it blue. If she says finish it.. finish it and you will see an improvement in noise level around your house and that's almost a gaurtantee! ha.. ha...

        Regards...

              Thanks

Thanks for the kind words. I have been really inspired since I found this web page. The next project I am working on is trying to get some good order and dicipline going on in my "work shop". I'll try to keep you all informed on my progress. My latest project has been putting in a sub panel and new recepticles in my one car garage. I'll post pics of that as I get the chance.

Never feel trepidation about posting projects here. There are some fine craftsman on this forum, but every one of them started somewhere, and from the looks of it you are doing well. That is a nice bookcase that should see many years of use. I like the space saving aspects as well.

Apprehensive about showing your work? Wrong choice of words. Elated, exstatic, anxious would all be better words!

Pappy got it right. That is a beautiful piece.

For the life of me I can't see how your not proud of this one.

                          Very nice.
