These are pretty cool. Do these huge things go up in the air on a pole? Do they attact certain types of birds? Or do you design them for certain kinds of birds? I dont imagine you get a lot of variety in each complex.
I know my grandpa used to have bluejays in one and no other birds went near that one.

If these houses go on a single pole, what do you use, telephone poles? A 2" dia pole is NOT going to hold some of these, well at least I would NOT want to be around them if you try.
Do you have any pictures of the GROUP(s). Or are they scattered all over the place?
Since you don't build these to sell, and I have seen several house before. Do you live in a bird sanctuary? Or do you have that much trouble keeping the cats feed?!
Great bird houses. A lot of fancy birdhouses are not really designed with the birds in mind. Cleaning is important for some species. Others do their own cleaning. Let us know if you get around to producing any plans.
When you said pole I didnt think you meant tree trunk....
Any plans to build a bald eagle nest???Those are pretty huge. There is one at the botanical garden in Norfolk. They have been here two years making more eagles and the nest got bigger when they came back. hopefully they are back this spring.

Its the middle of December and the ground is not frozen yet here in Cranbrook so i decided to put up a birdhouse today.
The total height is 13 ft.
It is mounted on a 10 " barn floor joist.
