    Apothecary Cabinet

Needed some more drawer storage space for the shop and came across the plans for an apothecary cabinet. http://www.shopsmithhandson.com/arch...nd_project.htm

It has 16 drawers that are 6" x 6" x 13-3/4" so there is plenty of storage room for all the odds and ends around the shop. I did alter the plans a bit, used pocket holes for building the frame and altered the drawer fronts and eliminated the base front. If anyone uses these plans be sure and note that the partition measurements are wrong they should be 27" not 28". Used pine and will paint it.

Very nice! Are you planning to label the drawers, somehow?

Pretty cool. I'd just put some clear finish on it... but then again I like the look of pine. Nice job. Pat

Nice job and lots of storage! Not sure why paint as it does look good already. (Like Popeye I like natural look of Pine!)

I may just finish it with several coats of poly, have to see what I have in stock. Next I have to build a shelf to put it on.

Here's a thought, seal with a clear finish, then paint. This allows a certain reversability.

Assuming the drawers are all interchangeable, I would rearrange them to align the grain and clear it in! Why hide it under paint?
