    It wasnt called "polyshades" was it?? I know every one of us has thought that stuff was the perfect answer to our finishing qoundries, as it turns out, its just really really thick Poly that has pigments added to highlight runs, lol.

    Great job on the bandsaw box. I cannot wait to get a few of these under my belt as well.

      It was polyshades.

      I just used some water based poly on the table I made and wow was that simpler to work with.

      Has anyone used glaze coat (I think that is the name)? Equivalant to 60 coats of varnish in one applcaion sound too good to ture. There has to be a catch to it.

        another good option is the Minwax wipe on poly, I know alot of guys mix their own, but this stuff really is as good as the label suggests, I use it almost exclusively now, You really have to work at it to get a run. If you try the Glaze coat, you'll have to let us now how well it works.
