My finished router table after so so so long

I am so proud of this project. I really didn't know if I could do it or how it would turn out but I'm pretty happy with it. Lots of mistakes and goofs but it works and I learned a lot. I plan now on a make table for my wife but don't know if it'll be a keeper or not. If she starts crying when she first sees it I might have to give it to my daugher. She'll like anything Dad does. Love that girl. Anyway, this router table is built like a tank and it's rough but hey I'm a little proud and happy with it at least for now. Thanks for looking.

Looks great to me! I'm just a newbie, but I'm pretty sure you'll get lots of compliments. In the meantime, can you explain how the fence works? How are you going to employ those knobs and trac? I have the ambition to make a table as well--I'd be happy if it turned out nearly as well--so I want to pick up some ideas. Btw, if you made "goofs" that I'm likely to make, perhaps you can illuminate the correct path?

Well, pfm2000 it's been roughly 9 months since I started it but I just work on it now and then so it's tough to say exactly. Actually I can't even guess. I might be totally wrong. I really don't know. Sorry. As far as expense I'd say close to $100.00. Oh and if you are still out there davidtu another mistake I just remembered was; I had planned on using T-track for the fence to slid on instead of those clamps you see but due to the screw problem in putting the two part table tops parts together I couldn't install that T-track either. Again poor planning or no planning I should say. If I had to make a suggestion to somebody planning on building something especially if they were just starting out I'd strongly suggest building from plans and follow those plans. I actually copied the basic design from an article I saw in a magazine but kind of adjusted it around a bit to fit my abilities and ideas without thinking what the outcome was going to be. I now see the wisdom in using and following plans to the letter. Thanks again guys.

Do you plan to enclose the router box for dust collection?
I see a sled on the side. How does it function with no miter track? Is there a edge guide on the sled?

Edit : Hmmm looking at the back of the table I see there is a dust port on the back of the box, but when looking at the front I don't see it.
