Right after she finished the pen making class at Woodcraft, the lathe set up went to the top of the list.

I got the rack for the chisels made today and the French cleats on the door but the outside cleat is going to be redone. I mounted it with glue and screws then decided to run the screws from the inside so they don't show.

Excellent work as usual Pappy. Do you have to add ballast or is there enough weight just in the wood for a stable work surface?
Kittens Korner; after seeing all the "mice" you've made in the past I was sure it would it Minnie's house, or some other Mouse themed area!

              Final pics

Trimmed out and ready to go. Finish is 3 coats of pre-cat laquer. Only thing missing are the drawer knobs and she has to turn those herself.

                  Great setup!

BTW those abrasive rolls (sandpaper) do a very poor job sanding. They are OK for small stuff like pens, but once you move on to other things give the Norton 3X a try. You will not believe the difference!

That should go real nicely in the kitchen Pappy. I can hear it now...(LOYL speaking) Dinner will be ready in a few minutes dear, I just want to finish turning this (insert current project here).
