    First Bandsaw Box Attempt

I made this out of butternut. It cut fairly easily on the band saw, but was a bit too soft when sanding. Had to do most of the sanding by hand.

I'm pretty happy with it, overall. I get to give it to LOML's college roomy tomarrow, as a birthday gift. I flocked the drawers.

Let me know what you all think, thanks.

Great looking BS box. I reallly like the flocking -- that color sets off the butternut very nicely.

Nicely done Pappy - I gotta try one of those - maybe an excuse to pull the trigger on a bandsaw

Is it me, or is it missing the fingerboard and strings???

Nice box Keith. I'm one of those that needs to try one of these? what are the dimensions?

                          Keith made it, not Pappy.

Looks great. A bandsaw box has been on my to-do list since I got my bs.

That does look very cool. The flocking is the finishing touch.

I would like to try one of these eventually. One thing I have noticed, and no shame on you, is that there is a variable gap around the drawers.
This happens of course, because of the saw cut.
Has anyone ever tried using UHMW tape to help center the drawer back where it was cut from? This could always be done after the fact, but I think it would not only help its appearance, but with the ease of use on the drawers as well.
What are the thoughts on this?
