    From one old goat locker member to another...

    Fantastic work, Lou! Those humidors look great!

    Eventually I hope to be that good, keep posting the inspiration!

    (On a side note, I just retired last year off the LINCOLN, but I had to process from TPU Bangor. The Brem./Poulsbo side is much prettier than the Everett side...you got lucky )

            Hey Lou, nice to hear from you! Those look great. I have been wanting to do some of them myself. Congrats on the retirement. Are you still in Bummertown?

                Those look great. Really nice.

                I've heard that when making humidors you have to somehow account for the level of humidity maintained inside. In other words some swelling of the the piece might occur.

                Is this true? And if so, do you make allowances for it and how?

                Thanks,
                BobL.

                  The 1/4" spanish cedar sides are a liitle loose until the humidity gets to the right level (65% - 70%) then they are nice and snug. Hopefully the boxes will still close right once the humidity is up as well but it only take a swipe or two with some sandpaper on the edges and they will snug right up. The Mahigany one has been seasoned and is holding the humidity ust right.

                  I wasn't concerned about the outer box swelling since the inside and top should equalize it all out.

                  For Scott;
                  Yep still in Bremerton. Working pretty much as a contractor right now and as long as this works out I won't be moving back to Texas for a few more years. That is unless I get a job offer back there.

                  For everyone,
                  Thanks for all the replies those two turned out better than I thought they would which gives me more confidence in building more on commission. Already have a few folks interested in some.
