    Second Generation Long Fence

I remade long fence attachment using 1/2" Baltic Birch, finished with 2 coats of precatylised laquer.

The long fence attachment is to give additional infeed and outfeed support as well as a longer fence. The pads are reinforced with 1 1/2" x 1/8" aluminum angle. I still need to drill the right side so a T nut can be used to prevent it from rocking when the weight is on the infeed or outfeed support.

    This is the first version.

Changes include a taller fence section, larger infeed/outfeed pads, and better bracing for the fence and 'h' assembly.

That infeed/outfeed support idea (and execution) is just awesome! If/when I redo my fence, that's goin' in.

                Regards,
                Tom

I was thinking about doing much the same thing, but only for the infeed side.
I'm glad to know that it's a workable approach.

Excellent fence! Thank you for posting, I've been trying to brainstorm a design but this one i think would fit the bill.

Jeff, the original version, minus the aluminum angle, is still hanging on the wall....
