BT3000 rail locking levers at eBay

Click image for larger version Name:	image.png Views:	0 Size:	867.7 KB ID:	862196Someone on eBay is selling this set of BT3000 front and rear rail locking levers. The square t-nuts go in the back of the rail and the lever turns the bolt that pulls the rail tight to the boss on the front of the saw to lock the rails in. $17.50 shipped.

I'm wondering what use these might have for holding any auxiliary attachments for the rails. Or with extension rails.

    Any ideas?

I thought about having spares, but I can't recall a conversation ever on this forum where someone broke their rail locks.
The levers on the SMT get broken frequently when the SMT is dropped. But not these.
Still the seller claims to have sold 20 sets or more.

I found a Bt3000 in Japan when I was there - that had been setting outside at an equipment shop. Some church building volunteers had sent a BT3000 to Japan to be used in several missionary house / church building situation, and after 3 or 4 years of volunteer use, it went unused and sat outside for several years. Those bolts and bosses rusted to the point one of the bolts broke in getting it off when I tried to take it apart. I still have the 13? amp motor somewhere.

I would not be surprised that someone took the rails off in repairing, left it alone for a couple of years and then could not find the parts. In such case, they would need them; OR someone found the rails, decided to sell them and had a request for a couple of locking levers too.
