Air flotation table on ebay- $400?

This used BT3000 air flotation/vacuum table has been bid up to $400 on ebay! These were well under $200 new and probably not worth that. What am I missing here- are they that rare?

I think you're only missing the people's complete lack of research. I had one that I bought for $89 at Menards. It certainly wasn't worth that. It literally fell apart within a couple of years. It always had bad reviews and they were known for warping.

I think they are rather rare.
I think there were somewhat clever but not real sturdily constructed.
So survivors in working shape are even rarer.

And it comes with wide table kit - still going for $50 by itself most of the time.
