Hi. Short time lurker and new member (thanks to Black Wallnut). I hate to fess up, but I'm having a bad time removing my old handwheel. Been really straining to turn the central hex head screw counter-clockwise, with occasional stabs at moving it clockwise, but no luck. Is there a locking screw that I've been stupidly over-looking? Tempted to take an axe to it, but I've had the saw a long time now. Help?

If your only tool is a hammer, you tend to treat all problems as if they were nails.
