    Bearing plate reassembly

Hi all, and thanks so much for all the info about re & re the Ryobi table saw.

With your help I have managed to install two new belts and am now trying to reassemble the saw.

My problem is getting the bearing plate aligned with the screw holes. It's a bit of a witch, which makes me think I'm missing something.

Anyone have any ideas... I need to cut some wood! :-)

    Thanks,

    Willyr

    welcome to the forum.
it helps if you paint a better picture. Screw holes in what, the motor?
Bearing plate assy is not a common term... you mean the holder or locker bracket?

would help if you used the names given in the breakout drawing in the manual. They're not on this drawing you have to look athte number and see it on the parts list.
YOu can see the parts list at this site: http://parts.sears.com/partsdirect/p...00061426/00001

If your only tool is a hammer, you tend to treat all problems as if they were nails.

      Part I.D.

Hi there, and thanks for responding so quickly. I was in the garage still frustrated with trying to put this back together correctly.

According to the motor parts diagram, the part I'm questioning how to orient properly to bolt it back on is:

      Bearing plate
      PART NUMBER: 969203-001

      Thanks,

      Bill

Maybe this shim replacement guide will show you what you want.

oh ugh, i looked up the exploded parts, the bearing plate is part of the motor (which you said). why did you take the motor apart to replace the belts???

I've no experience taking apart the motor.

          Thank you.

I muddled through the other day and got my saw working... however, the link to the shim instructions confirmed for me that I did install the bearing plate oriented the correct way.

Thanks so much for taking the time to help.
