Not too long ago somebody posted pictures of using spacers to change the angle of the BT3xxx casters so the lift didn't have to be so high--i've been meaning to try that.
I came up with a castor bracket based on the Wood magazine mobile base that could be bolted to my BT3. I never have mounted the finished product but the MDF prototype worked as I hoped.

It shouldn't be too hard to modify the back of the lift to match the angle for the splayed leg base on a BT3100.

Way up here in the Great White North, I shopped at one of our hardware chains and bought a mobile stand on sale for around 30 dollars. If you can find something similar, it works great.
