    I didn't find this minor segway too far off topic, and found some interesting perspectives....sometimes we don't know what we don't know, so we don't ask! Good input IMHO!

      i thought it was useful information and i extended it for "fair" exposure to both sides.
      I was really trying not to offend Sarge with my point of view, it appears he was OK with that but then embarressed me by apologizing for taking it off topic, which was not really a criticism.

      Sarge is a great guy, I have great respect for his skills and knowledge of tools, too.
      He gave me a Highland Woodslicer (BS blade) once for which i'm very grateful.
