    Johnson Paste Wax

Does anyone who lives in Massachusetts know where I can find the Johnson's Paste Wax. I can't seem to find it at any of the box stores in the area.

To all members, if it has been discontinued, is there a substitute product that you would recommend that is readily available? I saw a synthetic spray product that claims to have no silicone but I am wary of spraying anything on the surface that might transfer to the wood. Thanks for your advice.

Check Walmart. You can usually find it in the cleaning supply aisle.

Don't know about in Massachusetts but in my local Lowes the Johnson's paste wax was not where I expected to find it. It was in a side isle with the furniture polish and furniture cleaners. Look for a squat yellow can... about 3 inches high and six to seven inches in diameter.

Worst case scenario, contact Johnsons through their website and ask for a distributor contact in your area. Definitely not discontinued, bought some only a month ago.

I have the same problem in the New York southern tier. No grocery stores carry it, nor does Walmart. In addition to Walmart, I've tried Lowes, Home Depot, Giant Food Market, P & C, Price Chopper, Wegmans, True Value, and Home Value.

Currently I am using Butcher's bowling alley wax, which I purchased on a Home Depot clearance.

Yah as already suggested, if you can't find one locally buy it online. You'll have to pay shipping though so try to find it locally first.

usually found with the floor cleaning or just cleaning products at lowes or HD.

if you can't find it I imagine this product at Lowes is also equivalent:

                Loring in Katy, TX USA

I looked and looked and looked, for like 6 months, everywhere I went, for Johnson's Paste Wax.

Never found it. Bought some minwax product instead.

Then finally found Johnson's somewhere. For some reason the fact that it's SC Johnson's Paste Wax was totally throwing me off.

Now that I know what the can looks like, I see it everywhere I go (including walmart!).

The HD's here carry the MinWax paste wax. That will work just as well as the Johnson's. At the store here, it's in the same area as the MinWax stains & poly.

I looked at several stores in my area, and couldn't find Johnson's Paste wax.
Like MPC, I found it at my local Lowes. I finally asked, and they keep it in an aisle that I never thought of looking in.

I, too, use the MinWax paste wax. One can will probably last me a lifetime.

Try Pep Boys also, that's where I got my (~8 year old) can.
