    On a slight tangent:
I needed an odd-sized dado the other day. I did it in two cuts. The first cut was slightly undersized. I used the micro-positioner on my fence to get the exact width I needed. Worked like a charm.

I use an 8" stack. I forget which brand.

well, if the ply is 15/32 (nominal 1/2")
then I will take 14/32ths (7/16") as 2 outer blades + one 1/8 chipper + one 1/16th chipper and then add 1/32" worth of shims which would be .030" total or three .010 shims spread out amongst the chippers.

      that is left to right,
arbor washer, left blade, shim, 1/8 chipper, shim, 1/16th chipper, shim, right blade, arbor washer.

I have not made any dadoes for plywood recently, all my dadoes I can recall have been 1/4. 3/8 or standard fractions for the most part. Besides, there's no standard plywood thicknesses, shims are likely to be used anyway.

            That's not a bad price.
