Has anyone entertained the thought of trying to use a router to mill a groove in both sides of the BT3K accessory miter slots?

I have a factory on one side, A piece of walnut routed out on the other side. I did it in
place using the fence as a guide. Rod Kirby has the how-to's on a link here on BT3. Bill5 OUT OF 4 PEOPLE DON'T UNDERSTAND FRACTIONS. -
I think he is talking about making the straight miter slots of a dual-slot table t-slots. I'm not sure if the material in the extrusion is thick enough for the depth of the cut necessary.ErikComment

As noted in the other posts, the metal is not thick enough on the sides of the slots.
I have milled them in wood, but I think the store-bought t-tracks are much better than ones I made so I use them instead. Its much easier to route out (or dado) the groove for the t-track than to make a t-slot.
Good luck, SteveComment
