I think you can get just the shims and stuff without buying all that other junk!
I say NO to buying this,, check out some of the older articles that show how and what to replace!

You can fix the shims with the replacement shims, but chances are you will end up with the same problem all over again. This updates your motor housing to the BT3100 which does not have that problem...

This is a bit expensive, but how much is your time to redo your shims a couple of times worth?

I guess I want to do it right. After seeing this forum and how much "my saw" can do and how there is still support for it I want it to last a long time. I was fearful I was SOL when it came to parts.

Barbara Streisand! You can replace you BT3K shims as per my article and if you follow the link to Norm's site for his shim supports and install them you will never have shim problems again. The other option is to buy a new style guide holder and shims, thus making it BT3100 style. What you show in the pic are the parts you do NOT need to change.
