BT3100 with wide rails, need mobile base ideas...

I haven't measured leg to leg, to leg, but here's the dilema...

I have the BT3100, on a shop built, fold out of the way set of casters, AND the extension rails which I need to build or buy legs and a top for. (most likely build).

I am looking for ideas for a mobile base, so that I can move the saw complete with the rails / wide table without disconnecting the rails. I don't want to build a base cabinet under the saw due to time, cost, and honestly space issues. (my AC unit and radiator can live under the extension table while not in use if it is kept open).

I am not allergic to the idea of a shop built solution. But what? How about it guys and gals, anyone have a workable idea or two?

You might think of building the legs for the extension more like a trestle table and tie it into the base of the saw. Do the same fold down casters on the extension leg base and move the whole thing at once. Don't know how that'll work with the stuff under te extension though.

      That's a toughie.

There are mobile bases with an extra set of legs at the far end to support the long rails and extension table on ~50" cabinet saws. But on those, the rails are a single piece and mostly self-supporting. Yours, OTOH, have a hinge in the middle where the two sections join.

Best thing I can think of, with a view to preserving your storage space under the extension table, is to run a pair of angled knee braces from the MB under the saw up and out to roughly the midpoint of your extension rails. Ideally they should run at a 45deg angle or greater (relative to the floor) but you may have to flatten the angle a bit in order to get adequate support for the extension wing.
