    Stuck bevel locking lever...

    Any ideas on how to unstick a bevel locking lever?

    I've afraid to force the puppy and it seems pretty darned stiff. Is there a locking set screw or something I've missed?

      when I get mine stuck, I tap it gently with a small rubber mallet.

          Oh good gravy....few taps of the hammer and away she went, everything is fine now.

          Funny, the ones in the stores are always already loose.

          *sigh*...chalk it up to the 1st TS learning curve.

                  Pappy, I don't think in htis case its a cleanliness issue. If you push the locking lever too tightly to the left it works against a ramp that pushes the wheel out to engage the height and not the bevel. Is you lock it a bit tight then it can be hard to loosen. There's no stop to tell you when to stop pushing it to the lock elevation mode so it can be hard to release if you want to make sure it doesn't slip back to bevel mode.

                      Mine also seems stiffer the longer since I tilted the blade. Maybe it works itself tighter? I've had to lean on it pretty good - to the point I thought something might break.
