    How many BT3's

Does anyone outside Anderson SC know how many BT3000, BT3100, Sears 22811, 21829 and couple other models have been made since 1992?

Must be well up in the 6 figures, I'm guessing.

Anyone else care to hazard a guess with or without any reasoning or proof?

Okay, here's a more educated guess.

There's currently 2160 Home Depot stores according to Wikipedia.
For many years HD was the only outlet, but before that Lowes carried them and Builders Square before that. Plus all the Sears hardware stores and full line mall stores for the Sears models.
So lets just say that around 2000 stores sold them at any given moment.
Lets say each store sold 5 per month on the average, there were some really hot promos on BT3100s at HD at the peak but I'll stick with 5 per month per store over the lifetime.
So that's 10,000 per month, average.
They really sold from 1992 to about 2005 or 13 years or roughly 150 months.
So that makes 1.5 million.... 1,500,000 or well into 7 figures.

Anyone want to argue with that number? Maybe 5 per store per month is too high?

That's probably not an unreasonable estimate. It suggests one has been sold for every 80-100 hoursholds.

But not if you consider that a lot of folks had/have more than one.
