A Brit needs help

Yes, Attila's back. Sorry that I've been a stranger here for so long. Illness and then working abroad kept me from one of my favourite forums. But, I'm back ... albeit with a plea for help.

Anyway, time for the sad tale.

Whilst I was away, some workmen needed access to the manhole that sits under my workshop (I made a section of the floor and a half a wall panel removable to facilitate such access). It seems that when they moved the bandsaw (that normally sits over the access), they clouted the handle of my BT3000 (older readers will recall that this is the last BT3000 sold in the UK) ... and smashed the Roller Holder in the Rip Fence Assembly (#7 on p44) .

I cannot source one in the UK (and wouldn't you know, I have some work lined up for my FiL next week!), and wondered what availability and costs were like ex-USA.

Anyone any ideas?

I have a whole BT3000 fence that could be broken down that you could have for the cost of shipping but I have no clue as to what it would cost or how fast it could be shipped to the UK. Pat

www.sears.com and then click on parts on the left. The saw is 315.22811000 for the bt3100 I couldnt find the number for the bt3.

the 22811 is the BT3000 derived saw. Not a BT3100.

Welcome BACK! Hope you can get the parts you need. I have a couple of those roller holders back in the states in my shop there but I can't get to them for another 5 weeks. If you don't have one by then, I will be glad to send you one.

A Brit saved

The excellent fellowship of siliconbauhaus and the service of Sears and Paypal, mean that the replacement part arrived after Easter and was successfully fitted today. I'm OK to start my FiL's project now (as soon as I have time ).
