    Miter table???

I have seen this on the BT3100, a table that I think has two miter slots on it. I have the craftsman 21829 and would like to pick one of these up if it will fit? Are the rails on both saw the same distance apart? Can anyone tell me name of this piece, part# or if anyone has one for sale? Thanks

The "dual miter slot table" should fit your saw, the 21829 has the same base and rail system as the BT3100/BT3000. However it does not mount to the rail, it mounts to some holes to the left of the main table top and must be aligned to the blade when installed.

Most agree it does a better job than a miter slot and miter gage. Most accessories and jigs can be
reworked to work with a SMT. If you must have a miter slot, then Ryobi sells a miter slot table
(MST, Ryobi Part number 4060310) (also included in the accessory kit) which mounts on the left
side of the saw table (which moves the SMT further left from its usual left spot). It has two slots.
Some enterprising people have also mounted one on the right or made extension table tops that
they routed for slots or mounted additional miter slot tracks into.
At this time the easiet way to pick one up is on eBay or in the classifieds here.

I picked up a few of those Craftsman dual miter slot tables last year, on the closeout table after they had been closed out. Missing shims/screws, but I have a friend with the old Craftsman BT and he had been debating. For the price I bought them for, I can figure out something for shims.

When I picked them up, I walked over to the newly assembled floor model of the 21829 and plunked it down. Fit like it should, and I laughed about them getting rid of it, with a new version of the saw. I am still suprised they didn't relabel it.
Consider doing a search on Ryobi parts here (M&D, and I can't remember the other one), and use the part number given, before you go out of Ebay (they go higher there). Also check out the articles link above, as several have built their own.
