Does anyone know of a better replacement switch for the Bt3100? Mine has arc'ed open again and won't turn off the power.

See the previously posted message below. Mr. Hill contacted me and is sending a replacement switch. Nice fellow. Be patient, he has a lot of calls to return. Took 3-4 weeks for him to get to me.
"I had a problem with my switch not cutting off, which I reported to the consumer product safety commission. Eventually I got a call back from a man named Wayne Hill who works for a company called Techtronics which, as I understand it, contracts for Ryobi. He sent me a new switch, which has apparently been re-designed with stronger springs and also the contact surface is a material which can withstand higher temperatures. I installed the new switch last week and it works fine (so far). Mr. Hill's phone number is 1-800-323-4615, ext. 3277. He may be able to get you a switch or tell how to get one"Comment

I had the switch in my BT3000 go bad and replaced it with a simple 20 amp switch I picked up at Lowes. Has worked great with no problems for over 8 years now. So far the switch on my BT3100 has not given me any problems.John HunterComment
