    upgrade for bt3100

I would like to upgrade my bt3100 to add more room on the top surface for ripping cross cutting etc. but not sure of best method.
I have seen the jointech but it seems too expensive.
I have heard that there is a wide table kit available but I am not sure how to find it. Is there an optional fence system upgrade also for the saw?

    What does everyone recommend.

The wide table kit is available from ordertree.com and it is a second set of rails and some connecting hardware. With it you increase your rip capacity by 42". I have a 1/2 set that I split with another forum member.

As for the fence, it's a good fence, not sure what you want to do to it. You can fashion your own attachment to the fence to lengthen it front to back, or for burried cuts.

Can't find the wide table kit on ordertree.com. Could you post a link to it?

      Thanks,

      Roger

I got one a few weeks ago on ebay (direct sale, no bidding) the rails and the connecting hardware were $99.00, but that still leaves you with coming up with a longer table, legs ($54.00 from Sears and the hardware to mount the top to the rails.

        Best,

        Bruce

P.S., just enter Ryobi in the search window of ebay, the seller is a member of this forum, Komatoast.

          Wide table kit for bt3100

Below is link to wide table kit for BT3100 from M&D mower. The place is reliable - mine is from this place. Note- this is a kit for BT3100, there is a kit for BT3000 and it is more expensive.

The kit includes instructions how to make a simple table top expansion surface and legs out of plywood and 2x4. Start with that - you will figure out yourself how to make more elaborate top and integrate mobile base later on.

              No Difference!

The Wide Table Kit is the same, regardless of who's name is on the box. Sears buys them from Ryobi with a Sears label on them.

Be aware though, they're for the BT3000, not the BT3100. (The Rails are Silver, not Black)
